Location - East Midlands to North London

Salary - £30,000 - £35,000 + Commission (OTE first year £50,000)


This is a permanent job for a UK based company, which is part of a global brand with a turnover of £900million. We manufacture and rent Semi Permanent Building to a wide array of sectors, including Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Production, Temporary Showrooms, Education, Emergency and Disaster Recovery.


We provide a full suite of services which include, Design and Engineering, Planning Permission, Site Survey & Installation, Maintenance Agreements & Financial Packages.


The Role
Your role will be to maximize sales turnover for both Hire and Sales of our extensive products while building strong relationships with key accounts.


 You will be required to hit and exceed sales & hire targets for the company’s products through individual buyers and repeat users.
 You will plan effectively sales coverage of the area to ensure that all customers are contacted at the required frequency, analyze the potential spend of the client, their business model and how the products and services can add value to their operations.
 Ensure that all sales enquiries generated are thoroughly followed up to achieve, at targeted conversion ratios, the required sales targets.
 You will analysis the market place to draw up a business development plan which will ensure you are aware of all potential new sales outlets, approach to showcase products & services and convert into customers.
 To prepare sales forecasts for the region as required by management, this will include a breakdown by sector, potential for conversion and ideally dates for conversion.
 To keep the Sales Manager informed of competitors’ activities and market trends.
 Show case the full range of products in a professional manner and ensure clients are fully aware of the features and benefits of the products & services on offer.
 Maintain in good and safe condition Company assets under his control and observe Company procedures at all times.


We have a team of 32 staff including sales which is managed by the Sales Manager.
As the Area Sales Manager you will ensure you follow the development plan for the area and add additional information to re-evaluate this plan on a daily basis with the help of Allhire CRM software.


On a daily basis you will update you activates, record events and actions relating to customers in your area and any other activity which has commercial interest. You will return a weekly forecast report which details in full a realistic potential for the area. At monthly sales meetings you will be expected to report on specific accounts, market trends, order potential as well as details of orders placed and reasons for not buying.


Important/Essential Criteria:
 You will have a min of 3+ years as an Area Sales Manager or equivalent.
 Proven ability to effectively manage a sales area
 Proven ability to hit sales targets, manage key accounts and cross sell a full suite of products & services.
 Knowledge of or experience in selling products/services to the following sectors Retail, Manufacturing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Production, Temporary Showrooms, Education, Emergency and Disaster Recovery.
 Knowledge or experience in selling building services, facilities management or warehousing space.
 You will be fully IT proficient and have the ability to update a CRM system on a daily basis.
 Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships.
 Commercially aware and have a strong geographical knowledge of industries and sectors.
 You will have the ability to sell on Quality, Features and Benefits to a client rather than simply selling on costs, this involves selling in a consultative fashion.
 Have a proven ability to create a realistic business development plans with timescales for actions points, including the ability to report a realistic conversion rate for clients.
 Must be able to represent the company, brand and products in a professional manner at all time, in and out of work.


Salary & Benefits
 £30,000 - £35,000 depending on skills, industry knowledge and ability to prove hitting past sales targets.
